Land for Retirement Villages
Do you have 3-4 acres or up to 100 acres for a purpose-built retirement village?
Land Wanted for Retirement Villages
Opportunities for larger retirement villages in urban areas or edge of urban areas are wanted for our clients.
Good retirement village sites could be in the South East or home counties, through to the Cotswolds and Midlands, and in specific locations in Scotland.
Retirement villages require much larger areas of land than typical sites for retirement flats. Each village will contain significant green space, communal facilities (for restaurants and recreation) and flats and homes in the grounds.
Senior living developers now also talk about building ‘Integrated Retirement Communities’. These retirement communities bring together the specialist accommodation and facilities designed to support people in older age.
A retirement village is more likely to be on the edge of a settlement or in the countryside, such as:
- Farmland on the outskirts of a town or city.
- A stately home or period house with substantial grounds.
- A former institutional use such as redundant hospital.
- Golf courses under financial pressure.
